Well, what about the tube?
It depends how much of the prostate they reamed out.
If you've had what's called a transurethral resection of the prostate, old-fashioned TURP, when you ejaculate, the ejaculate normally just fires straight back up into your bladder, so it doesn't come out the end of your woozer, and you pee it out after that.
So that's the commonest one.
If you've had a radical prostatectomy where they remove the whole prostate, it depends whether they remove the seminal vesicles.
So when you ejaculate, pretty much 99% of that fluid comes from two little glands which are on the other side of the prostate called seminal vesicles.
It doesn't come out of your testicles at all.
It comes out of your seminal vesicles, and they wash through the prostate.
So if they've left one of those intact, perfectly okay to see something come.
It's a little side effect of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, your common antidepressant pills.
They will delay the orgasmic function.
Once a woman came to see me and said, Doc, you stopped hubby's pills, didn't you?
Yeah, can you put them back on the bloody things, please?
Because it just makes them last longer.
So it's a side effect profile of that.
