Right now, we have people in the administration who are saying, we have the worst chronic health epidemic in the United States.
It's because healthcare sucks.
And all we have to do is look at how good we've gotten at helping people survive acute illnesses.
So when they get an infection, when they get a heart attack, when they get a stroke, when they otherwise would have died with type one diabetes early on.
So we've gotten so good at keeping them alive that they are now chronic health patients, much in the same way that pets are living longer.
So they develop cancer.
which is interesting in healthcare.
There's this through line of if you solve one problem in health and then you live longer, something else breaks down and it creates a new problem.
Well, Brian Johnson would argue otherwise.
