I felt pretty goofy.

I felt insecure.

I was drawn to it.

And the coach...

he's not with us anymore.

Warren Robertson, he had a lot of head towards some big actors, and he saw something in me, I think.

And he said to me at some point, well, maybe you're not a chemical engineer, you know, maybe you're an artist, because I'd, I'd done painting when I was younger, I did music, I had done some acting as a young man as a young kid, as a 12 year 13 year old kid.

So he said, Maybe you should, you know, maybe you saw something in me that I didn't see.

Then I got a little more into it, but I always felt awkward because I'm sort of a perfectionist, and like if I'm going to do something, say it's martial arts, I want to learn it from the ground up.

I like to take my time.

I don't want to rush into things.

But with acting, I didn't rush into it, but it kind of, it saw me, it grabbed me.

Show business got hold of me before I really knew what I was doing so much.

Yeah, I felt that in martial arts because I won those tournaments and people started...

I want to hang out with me.

You know, I can meet some girls that way, which I couldn't otherwise because I was an engineer and not too sexy, you know.

But being a martial arts champion was a bit cooler.

And then being with Grace, I was this kind of big, very physically fit, kind of very innocent guy who didn't really belong in New York nightlife.

It was like, where's this guy come from, you know?
