Kieran Reid, he was a guest on the podcast real early on when it started like four years ago.

Great guy.

So I reached out to Reid.

I have so much respect for Thorny.

What stands out to me was just his ability to take people under his wing and help them grow.

The likes of Samuel Whitelock and the Frank brothers.

I learned heaps in the way he conducted himself, fully committed to the game, but also a top family man at the same time.

At the end of the final of the Rugby World Cup 2011, I called the line out to him at the front of the line out.

I backed him 100% that he would nail it, and of course he did.

All Blacks front.

That must've been, um, just thinking about that, like, you know, starting to play rugby in your mid twenties and having nicknames like credit card, um,
