There's a lot of criticism towards the hair industry about how poor we are at retail.

Because genuinely, I think as an industry, why are we poor at it?

Do we feel we're battling up against...

the big giants like Boots and Amazon.

We just think, well, we can't compete.

We can't buy in the levels of stock.

Because that brings down the price, doesn't it?

And it's difficult when you have products in Boots.

Do you kind of think that we could be doing?

A show of hands, who thinks actually we could retail more?

I almost feel that actually as hairdressers, if you're good and you've got anything about you, I think most of us are busy, really.

I guess where somebody like you could be really powerful for our industry is how we promote it.

Because I think there is a massive problem with our industry right now.

Not through negativity, but I feel like we're not retaining people and helping.
