Former air bases is the thing.

You've got these places hanging around since the Second World War doing nothing and the government basically wants to try and use them if it can.

So there's been a lot of movement into those centres.

Whether they end up in a situation with everybody in those centres, well we'll see, because that depends on how many people are coming across and how they how better they can manage the numbers.

you you've basically got a number of categories there of people coming into the UK in previous years, which affects the number of people who then seek to settle.

So if you think about your stereotypical person who comes here uh legitimately to work, for example, and

After they come for a couple of years, they meet the love of their life, they decide they want to settle in the UK, they apply to settle, they're allowed to settle.

That is the way of the world happens.

It applies to all countries.

So when you get, by definition, large groups of people coming in in particular years, a couple of years down the road, you're then going to get a large number of people settling.

So some of the categories which really affect this is the large number

of work visas which came uh work visa holders that came in during the Boris Johnson years.

Inevitably that's going to lead to a large number of settlements because by definition a lot of those people are going to stay here forever because they've made their life here.

Um another one is what's called the British National Overseas Route.

Now that involves an awful lot of people who came to the UK from Hong Kong.

For historical reasons, they had uh uh a right to leave Hong Kong and given what uh they regard as the precarious situation.
