Uh Joel writes, Hey Underworld with Ahsoka season two coming next year.
We are of course all looking forward to the grand fleet match of Admiral Thrawn versus Admiral Akbar.
However, from a character and story perspective, I think the far more interesting match is the tactical rematch between Grad and Admiral Thrawn and General Hara.
Yeah.
Let's face it, Thrawn and Hera have been rivals since season three of Rebels.
Hera was the first rebel Thrawn encountered personally for a one-on-one interaction on Ryloth, taking her family Kalikori, and Lar and later integrating her uh or interrogating her again in season four.
For Thrawn, defeating Hera isn't just winning another battle, it's revenge on her and her friends, whom he personally holds responsible for his exile on Paridia.
It's honestly one of the few things I've loved about how they've used Thrawn in canon compared to his Legends counterpart.
By having him appear in Rebels First, Thrawn has a much more uh personal stake in seeing his enemies defeated.
There are uh subtle moments in Ahsoka season one where you can see the sheer bitterness Thrawn holds uh towards Ezra and the Purgal, uh, and how he would love to.
to see them, as he put it, destroyed with prejudice.
