as an up-and-coming younger coach.

And I had someone who reached out to me and said, you should start putting Misha Donskov in that group too.

And he will be, he just turned 49.

His birthday was last week.

And they said, you should start putting him on that list.

And one of the things I suspect here was that

He was on the Olympic team, as we mentioned, and Peter DeBoer is now coaching the Islanders.

And I had a couple of people who said to me they thought DeBoer would be interested in him.

And, you know, the Islanders now have an opening on the bench.

They made one assistant coach change.

And I don't know if that was DeBoer's plan or not.

There were some rumors out there that Donskov would be consideration for that or other jobs.

But now he's locked in as a head coach and he's going to be in prime position here.

And I just had a few people tell me, watch out for this guy because the NHL knows him a bit.

from his days in Dallas and Vegas, and now with Hockey Canada and the Olympics, and his time will come.

I think one of the things that was the question here was just getting a bit more head coaching experience, and now he's going to get it in a couple of tournaments.

But I've had people say to me, you better start doing your work because his time is going to come.

So Dom is usually on the ball as much as it pains me to give him a compliment.
