The third one, the one the investigator had, didn't budge.
And at this point I'm kinda thinking, Okay, I think how in the world is you know, are they faking us?
I don't know how So I thought, Do you like jokes?
I'm in tune with Civil War soldiers.
I like to write about the the common soldiers and I know humor's a great part of it.
And I said, Do you like jokes?
He says.
Yes, sir.
And then I said, Do you like music?
And it was almost like the inflection was like I'd insulted him.
He said, Of course.
And here's where my grandson really was on top of things.
He said, Can you play for us?
And as clear as a bell we got the answer absolutely.
And then we got guitar music.
Mandolin music kicked in.
This went on for maybe ten minutes.
It finally started to fade and I said said, Wow, you're good and he says very politely, thank you.
Say, can you play some more?
He said, Yes, sir.
