So I was diagnosed with COVID-19 in late March and ended up having to take two weeks off to quarantine.

And it was very uncertain times because nobody knew what it was going to do to me or what was going to come of it.

After my quarantine period, I felt a little better.

I ended up going back to work and ended up having complications later down the road from it.

and was coughing, passing out.

My doctor diagnosed it as Syncope, which is fainting while you're coughing.

That just came out of the blue and kind of just wreaked havoc on me.

So I needed to take some more time off to heal, but the time off was very limited because I was only limited to certain vacation time.

I had to use up my vacation time and sick time because that's all that we had to use.

due to we were a small company, so we didn't qualify for family medical leave or short-term disability, anything like that.

So the company had to use up my vacation time and sick time in regards to me taking time off again to heal from that, which was just a limited amount of time.

And it didn't cover the full amount of time that I was going to have to be out to heal.

So I just decided to seek unemployment under the pandemic unemployment assistance.

Now, you eventually left your job as a groundskeeper.

I did find new employment working in the school system, and it's a lot easier on my body and enjoy the environment and just miss my coworkers.

But all in all, I've done pretty good with it, and hopefully I don't catch it again.
