And we need to figure that out, too.
That's part of this process, because I'm sure there's a lot of times where we think, oh, I'm just going to go up because.
This guy's all over me.
They're going to call this foul.
And it's clear that they're not going to do that.
So we got to figure out continually how to finish through contact.
And even if there's some there, pretend it's not going to get called and focus on just making the basket.
Because there's a lot of times, and this is not just Duke, this is an A team.
If I know somebody is going to follow me, I'm just going to throw up some ridiculous circus shot because I'm just going to β I know I'm not going to make the shot, but I'm going to make the free throws or I'm going to have a better chance at the free throw line.
We can't rely on that as much moving forward because the trend is going towards β
or at least referees swallowing their whistle, especially in the second half of games.
So I thought it's not a bad thing from this particular last night, but it is a growing trend that I think needs to be noted, and we'll see how the referees continue to handle calling games with Duke featured moving forward because we're going to be facing some physical teams, and I'm wondering if the whistles are going to tighten back up or if they're going to remain loose and allow these teams to play pretty physical.
Yeah, I think that's the key here.
And it's part of the rhythm.
So that's the interesting thing is when you think about the rhythm of shooting, part of that is knowing that you're going to get, you know, like you said, close to 20 free throws a game.
That's part of the rhythm.
And that has gone by the wayside, not by our doing, because I think we you know, I personally think and sure do color glasses on.
I think we are playing well enough.
to get some of these foul calls and earn some of these foul calls and be able to go to the free throw line and knock them down.
But it is something to note because if referees are going to call Duke a certain way moving forward, based on how we play, we have to figure out a way around that.
