I wanted to start teaching other stylists and other salons that the speaking thing came into being, and it didn't go well at first.

And I realized if I wanted to make that difference, I had to learn.

You have to know your material well enough.

You leave them with what is going to help them and make a difference for them.

What I had for many years was teaching and training and working with people.

And I had really gotten over a lot of fears.

And so I thought, well, that's what I have.

That's what I enjoy.

That's what I've learned.

That's what I've trained myself to do.

And I can help other people do it.

So I stepped away from behind the chair and started a business helping people with speaking.

Well, I grew up there.

Hopewell, New Jersey.

Yeah, that's way further away from Hopewell.

Well, I grew up in a small town, around 2,000 people, and I think it's, at this time, not even many more than that, if many at all, any at all.

I grew up with my mother and father and my brother a year and a half younger, and we lived in this small town, and we were able to just go out, walk around, and do whatever, go to the drugstore, go out and play in the fields.

We used to climb trees.
