But if Kenny G books it for greener pastures, if he sees some dollar signs in his future, I think Dowdle would be an attractive name to take his place for only six, six and a half million bucks per season.
Number four is John Simpson.
This isn't a sexy pick.
Offensive line rarely is.
But the Steelers are likely losing Isaac Sayamalu after a few seasons as the tribal chief of the offensive line.
And that Steelers offensive line has gotten better.
They continue to carry a lot of potential going into 2026, but they definitely got better in the back half of 25.
And there's an opportunity here to get younger and possibly better in free agency.

But at 32 years old and battling injuries, I think the Steelers are in an okay spot to let him walk.
They have a crew that is very solid and young on the right side from Frazier to McCormick to Faltano.
The left side has question marks, starting at left tackle between former first-rounder Broderick Jones or the undrafted Dylan Cook, who made the most of a late-season opportunity in 2025, and now there could be a real battle at that position heading into 2026 under the new regime.
There's also going to be a void at left guard.

Simpson is well-traveled, but he's still only 28 years old.

In fact, he's been pretty good everywhere he's been.
Three years in Vegas, one in Baltimore, two with the Jets, and now likely to sign another free agent deal
here in 2026.
