Simpson is well-traveled, but he's still only 28 years old.

And he's not well-traveled because he's a bad player.

In fact, he's been pretty good everywhere he's been.

here in 2026.

And if you look into the situation that the Jets are facing, it comes down to John Simpson or Elijah Vera Tucker, who they drafted and is also quite the versatile offensive lineman.

So it looks likely that the Jets will bring back Tucker instead of Simpson.

He played every game in the chaotic Jets system the last two seasons.

He was better in 2024 than he was in 2025, but that could also benefit Pittsburgh or any outside team here since Simpson may not demand a ton on the open market.

Spotrack has him as a player looking at a one-year $6 million deal.

This keeps the offensive line young.

A group that, with this hypothetical signing, would be 26 years old on average as we enter the 2026 season.

And then number five is Eric Stokes.

You may remember this name from the draft a few years back.

But a secondary that improved over the course of 2025, even with injuries, and a shout to Brandon Echols and James Pierre for their efforts.

Echols will be back.

Pierre is a free agent.

And maybe after what he put together in 2025, is looking at some real money.
