or he is a big reason why that unit has been able to make things work with guys who aren't necessarily first-round picks or top-tier talent.

They have multiple dudes on the defensive line.

They have refurbished a unit that lost Aaron Donald, who may be the greatest defensive player in league history, or he's in that short list in that conversation.

But you have guys like Jared Verse, Braden Fisk.

They have players at every level.

They have Carnell Lake's son, who was a late-round draft pick at safety, who has turned into a really good player.

They have been able to utilize – he has been able to utilize guys who aren't top-tier talent.

and he's turned them into a top-tier unit.

Think about what he could do with a Steelers defense that has a price tag nearly $100 million more than what the Rams have.

I mean, he's number two on my list.

What about them as a package deal?

Well, yeah, that's one of the big reasons why I like Shula because I think that's the only way you get them as the package deal.

Whereas if you bring in Sheilhaus, there's no reason for Shula to take a lateral job to Pittsburgh as the D.C.

So he would have to.

I get that, and I have thoughts about that, and my feeling is if that's the route that you go and you end up losing Sheilhaus to a deserving head coaching job in the next couple of seasons, yeah, that's going to be something annoying that they have to keep replacing as years go on, and they're not always going to hit.
