And so I think that in this version, Trio provides a new perspective on the story in a way that makes me see the song differently.

This is also a song that's been covered by so many people.
It is one of those songs that's now something like wild and blue or crimson and clover.
It's one of those like old standards that is covered so much.
But in a lot of those covers I feel like it's hard to point to one and be like, this one is the best.
Except for here where it is like when people cover the song, they're covering the Janice Joplin version.

One of my favorite types of cover songs is a cover of a 90s pop girl song.
I almost brought Caroline Polichek's Breathless, which is a very great version of an old 90s Billboard Hot 100 kind of one-off pop song.
But my very favorite version of this type of cover song is by the enigmatic musician Jai Paul, and he's covering a song from 1998 called Cry.
