The Wall Street Journal reports an opening assault would target a few military or government sites.
The journal also reporting that if Iran still refuses to comply, the U.S.
would respond with a broad campaign against regime facilities.
Also today, President Trump hosted the inaugural meeting of his Board of Peace.
Representatives of at least 40 countries attended.
Trump said the board received roughly $17 billion in pledges toward humanitarian and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
Trump also said his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, would be a member of the Board of Peace.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the brother of King Charles III, was arrested earlier today on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Now, the move followed more details on Mountbatten-Windsor's relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Today, the former prince was questioned by police.
He wasn't charged.
And by the evening, police said he was released from custody under investigation.
