Right, Mark.

Well, I think for me at least, the biggest surprise was

uh the democrats uh where we stand in the senate.

It just seemed to me to be an overwhelmingly difficult map for democrats.

This cycle in the Senate where we're defending

Places like Georgia and uh and Michigan.

And and that for us to to to win, we have to basically run the table, which is defending all of our seats.

Then we have to pick up, you know, Maine and North Carolina, which North Carolina hasn't voted for a Democrat for Senate since I think two thousand eight.

And we all know about Susan Collins winning all the time.

So even if we were to have held our seats and picked up those two quote unquote easier ones, we're still too short.

And that would would have required us to win to win two seats.

In states that Trump has not only carried for the last three elections in a row.

but by double digits and all of those.

So that's a that to me it that is a daunting map.

Uh, when you have so few places that are competitive in American politics anymore.

Well just going roll back for a moment.

If you'd asked me a year ago

You know, one of the I would have if you asked me like what what uh

Democratic incumbent we be uh most worried about holding, I would have said Georgia.
