You know, any guy watching this can surely watch this opening scene and relate to having your first crush when you were young.
And not really knowing how to express yourself about it and feeling so feeling that lack of confidence, super relatable.
He is umming and awing about what he's gonna do and how he's gonna tell her.
She announces that she's going to be leaving their job and potentially moving away, which introduces a sense of urgency.
He randomly, in a store that sells kind of pseudo-supernatural things, he stumbles upon a mysterious
object called the one wish willow.
And the one wish willow is something that if you say your wish and then you break it, it's kind of like a stick object.
Your wish supposedly comes true.
And even at the point where Bear is buying this object, there's a sense of foreboding because the clerk behind the counter says, you know, no complaints, don't come and complain, you know, if things don't go your way.
So immediately, as an audience member, you kind of know where it's going to go.
After he gets the one wish widow, he attempts, but again fails to tell Nikki how he feels.
And Nikki even provokes him.

as an audience member, you're hoping that he's gonna finally come out with it and of course he doesn't.
She walks away and in an act of desperation he grabs this one wish willow and he says
