Yeah, thank you so much for having me.
I'm excited.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah.
I went to medical school a little bit later than than most people.
I think I was 26 when I started and and it was sort of an evolution for me.
I think when when I was still in college, I was not mature enough to make lifelong choices.
So I initially studied psychology and then I wasn't really into where that was taking me.
And um I really liked the math and science, and I got to know
some people who were on the track to go to medical school and decided to start taking some prereqs.
And I really wanted to help people in a meaningful way from the beginning.
You know, I did a number of internships and um got to experience different settings and I wanted to find a way to use whatever gifts I was given in in a way to to actually make a difference.
And I went through medical school.
I struggled with my choice of residency.
I liked a lot of different things.
And eventually I chose emergency medicine because I really liked being at ground zero with patients.
You know, I liked, I actually enjoyed the chaos.
I enjoyed the the pace, you know, and and you kind of the the training involves being able to deal with whatever comes through the door and make the best of the resources that you have and and sort of
Of being really adaptable rather than being stuck in in any sort of framework.
And um and I loved practicing emergency medicine for a while, but there was a lot of really meaningful things that I could do there.
