If you're going to bed at 10pm, for example, which you may very well be doing if you have an early start for your commute in the morning, that requires you to stop eating by 5pm, which for most adults is simply not sustainable and not conducive to a normal pattern of eating in the evenings.
And I'd much rather people did implement some changes that are positive than that the whole thing feels completely unmanageable and therefore they make no changes at all.
Fizzy drinks.
I think fizzy drinks, people often don't realise how much sugar they contain and how highly processed they are as well.
And it fills you up.
And so it leaves us room for all the other fantastic nutrients that we need.
I would say caffeine and alcohol, one or both of those.
And I totally understand it.
My patients are often really tired, so they become increasingly reliant on caffeine.
And as Marie-Pierre mentioned, of course, that isn't only in coffee.
A lot of my patients are using very high caffeine and sugar content fizzy drinks to consume caffeine throughout the day.

And then unfortunately, as I said before, I'm sorry to be the harbinger of doom, but I'm often advising patients on reducing alcohol intake as well in order to improve their sleep and their overall health as well.
