You pretty much find any therapist and more likely than not, they're going to know cognitive behavioral therapy.
And this is a problem because a lot of patients will go to their doctors with IBS and the doctors will say, I read somewhere that cognitive behavioral therapy can help.
Why don't you go try that?
And then they go out into the community and they find a therapist and it doesn't help.
It doesn't help with the IBS because that therapist is not trained to do specific GI-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
And so then they think, okay, well, cognitive behavioral therapy doesn't work for me.
And they feel hopeless and they give up when there are perfectly good treatments out there for them.
Just most people aren't trained in them.
Yeah, I love it.
I think when we eat and we're not in rest and digest mode,
what do we get, right?
We get people working while they're eating, in the middle of a meeting they're gulping food and then they're talking and they're thinking.
They're in sympathetic mode.
Their body is not primed, their body's not ready to digest.
And so if there's already problems in the system,
you're gonna have more of them.
So two to three minutes, slow breathing, that's great.
And I would even suggest training yourself first.
So what do I mean?
Maybe devote 10 minutes a day for about seven days
