I can't do that event or this event.
And their lives tend to constrict.
And so systematically getting your life back and fighting out of that anxiety cycle.
And then there's also something called interoceptive exposure.
Over time, they can develop a fear response about their own internal sensations.
And interoceptive exposure is the process of teaching people how to break that cycle of internally based anxiety.
what these symptoms mean right and maybe what some of the scary outcomes would be yeah let's call it a third right because cognitive behavioral therapy is the idea that our thoughts our behaviors and our emotions are all tied together they influence each other in various ways
And so we can pick out different levers to move the system.
So if we're getting a lot of anxiety and stress, we can work with thoughts.
We can work with behaviors.
Sometimes we can work directly with changing emotional associations and conditioning.
Yeah, exactly.
So what a lot of people come in being aware of is, well, I just feel stressed.
And then you teach them how to dig in and they're aware, oh, wow, I'm noticing these thoughts and I'm noticing the way I act and the way I avoid things.
And as their awareness builds, then you have the opportunity to intervene, to make changes in things that aren't helpful.
It was a pleasure for me too.
And I learned a lot also just listening to you.
So I'm glad that we did it.
And hopefully some people got some good information.
