The question is, is are we truly at a day where you can realistically hang a shingle and be your own boss and drive your own practice?

And I think that that is really, really difficult in urology, given the number of toys that we like and the expense of those toys and the fact that, you know,

Traditional urology in the view of most payers in hospitals is like one and a half percent of the hospital revenue slash spend slash however you want to look at it.

If you look at it from that perspective only, despite the fact that we drive a ton of economics through the broader hospital organization, that's often the perspective that we get, right?

So it's hard to keep our specialty even as the focus of an organization.

And in these types of organization, that should not be a question.

That's what the organization is there for.

I think I look forward to the conversation.

So I practice urology at Chesapeake Urology, which is a large group in Maryland.

When I started almost 20 years ago, we were about 25 doctors in and around Baltimore.

And over time, we've expanded.

And part of that story gets us to the private equity discussion.

But we, in 2016, formed the United Urology Group, which is a multi-state management organization that was born out of Chesapeake Urology.

And in that process, we took a private equity partner.

And since that time, have grown into multiple states, which we can talk about.

But

My role also evolved where I still am a medical director for the prostate cancer program at Chesapeake Urology that my career kind of grew at the same time that a lot of the new options for prostate cancer were coming on board.
