In other words, that there is a natural aristocratic order, a natural order of people who are born to rule over others.
And he said, we rejected that idea.
All men are created equal.
All men are created equal, endowed by their creator, not by government.
It's an interesting difference between our declaration and the French declaration.
The French declaration, which Jefferson actually had some influence on, but it says that power comes from the nation.
We don't say that.
