Yeah, so poppers have been around since the 1800s.
They were sort of called poppers because the chemical was contained within a glass capsule.
And so people used to grab their dainty handkerchief and
and then pop the glass or break it, and then they would be able to whiff in the fumes that were coming out.
So these days it's more in a dark brown bottle because it's also a little bit sensitive to light.
So you may be seeing bottles being passed around at the local nightclub and smelling something that smells sweet to some people, but to others it smells like old socks.
So it's really your preference for what's going on.
So people, when they breathe it in, they usually sniff it in through their nose.
It gets absorbed in the bloodstream pretty quickly.
There's usually sort of about a 20-second, 30-second delay, and then people start to get a bit of a rush.
They get a bit of euphoria that can last.
If people are unlucky, it might last for 30 seconds.
If they're lucky, it might last for two minutes.
So it's really not an extravagant period of time.
But people do sort of like appreciate that while they're dancing on the dance floor, they'll feel that euphoria that's there.
When they're in the midst of sex, then it can also enhance orgasms as well and enhance that experience for them.
So there's a lot of reasons why people do take it.
But yeah, like with that euphoria also comes a few other things.
So as Stephen was saying, it also like it dilates blood vessels.
So some people can find that their muscles are a little bit more relaxed.
