I'm this is several weeks ago.
Seeing a woman that comes in abdominal pain, overweight, in her mid thirties.
Testing is done, probably more testing than is necessary because of issues with liability and un unhappy patients that don't get the tests they want.
Patients come in with belly pain, they want CAT scans, they want ultrasounds.
When these are not al always appropriate.
So after extensive testing, CAT scan, ultrasound, lab work, I informed the woman that her only problem that I could detect was a fatty liver.
What is fatty liver, doctor?
Well, it's fat that's deposited because you're there are other reasons, but in her case she was obese.
