You know, it's not just that you're feeling miserable and tired.
So you're reaching for more high calorie foods.
The actual underlying biology has changed if you're not sleeping well.
He says something like you're playing with a different set of cards.
I think that's how he describes it.
So, and that's what HRT can address.
It can't make you lose weight, but it can certainly help with some of the symptoms that make weight gain more likely.

You obviously want to talk to someone who's expert in this specifically.
But I mean, it's the same as it is for anybody else.
I think if you have if you are struggling because you've had weight gain that's affecting your health, affecting your mental health, all of those things.
Obviously, you know, your lifestyle, your nutrition, all of that stuff is really important.
But the medication is there for a reason.
And it addresses the biology that is underlying a lot of the issues that happen with obesity.
So from a menopause point of view, where it becomes important in my consultations is if they're on HRT.
So we know that if you're using trisepatide in particular, which is Moonjaro, there was evidence that it impaired the absorption of the birth control pill.
And so there was kind of adjustments to be made around that.
From a HRT perspective, there is a concern that progesterone taken by mouth.
So the thing you're using to protect your womb, if you're on trisepatide, that it might change the absorption of the progesterone.
And ultimately, long term, if you don't get enough progesterone, your womb cancer risk goes up.
