It was a disaster early on in my career because I came into a situation where there were staff that had been there for many years.
They did things a certain way.
I was brought in as a associate and then owner to take my knowledge in the optical and turn the optical around because it was just doing okay.
With that, you know, I was young and I was excited and I was like, oh, yeah, we're going to change this and grow revenues, this and that.
And what I ran into is I ran into a highly resistant staff because they had done things their way.
Nobody had corrected them.
They had found ways that they said worked.
And as I looked at the numbers, as I looked at potential growth, it's like telling somebody that what they've been doing for the last 10, 20 years is
actually could be done better.
We can improve on it.
We can grow.
So this listener, here's what I, here's the advice I can give for this listener is number one, I've been in that situation and I royally screwed it up with the way that I came into it and approached it.
So I would, I would say, don't do that.
Don't come guns a blazing.
Don't say, hey, I'm now taking the reins back over.
I think the real practical thing with this is I'm the doctor.
I highly am.
