And so if I am this listener,
I want to know that's going to teach me a ton, but you have to come into the space by letting them know how much you appreciate them, how successful they've been.
And what will happen is they will let their guard down, which they should.
And they will trust that it's a safe space that you're walking into that you genuinely want to know.
What's going on and you need to know what's going on versus I'm here to ask some questions.
Here's your staff will think he's going to ask me questions or she's going to ask me questions because I did something wrong.
And so I got to guard what I'm saying because at the end of this, they're going to tell me, well, here's what I heard from so-and-so.
You have to break that.
And that's why I would come into that space like that.
individuals going through this need to find a mentor.
They need to find somebody.
We did a podcast that's released that's You Suck at Running a Practice, Why You Need a Mentor.
And I think that when you're going through these things, you need to find people that's gone farther and faster than you have.
And you need to figure out how to lock in so they can
give you touch points along the way.
And sometimes that might be a consultant.
Sometimes that might be a fellow OD that's just walked through it.
I've gotten a lot of advice by just interacting with ODs and just finding out, hey,
Um, usually when I come into it and I'm like, Hey, I've majorly screwed this up.
Then there's usually a flock of ODs coming around and wanting to tell me how to do it better.
