And you got to be all of the loving, positive emotions.

Negative emotions, you know, go for a walk or do some breathing, meditate through them.

No, man, you have to embody all parts of you.

Until you embody all parts of you, you cannot use the word love for yourself.

Unconditional love.

You know, when people say it's a container, what does that mean?

It means it's the container that holds all parts of you, the heaven and the hell, the dark, the light, all parts of you.

And then once you hold yourself fully, you can hold another.

You can hold a lover.

You can hold your children.

Then you've held so much of your deep grief and deep sadness for the shit that's happened in your life that when your child cries, they ain't triggering you.

You don't have to say stop crying.

You can be with them fully open-hearted.

You know how many women I see and they go, I love my dad.

He provided and protected for us, but I never had an emotional connection to him.

Why?

It's because that man doesn't have an emotional connection to himself.

He's never looked at the pain that he's holding.

And until a man does that, it's going to be very difficult to have a deep connection with your wife and your daughter.

So this is our responsibility as men.
