And they would say there was no evidence, and we lived in an evidence-based time.

So we started to do the studies for that reason.

Then the concern was, well, everyone would think they're confused, they're drugged, they're feeble-minded.

So we filmed them just so it was very important that people heard them in their own words and looked at them.

So 80% of these were overwhelmingly comforting.

12% were discomforting.

What we got wrong was the discomforting dreams were actually some of the most transformative.

So you could carry this lifelong spiritual, psychological injury that got addressed at the end.

And that was really the story of Duane.

What happened to him was he had multi-generation substance abuse.

He was imprisoned more than he was out of prison.

He came into our inpatient unit because he couldn't sleep.

He had head and neck cancer.

And he thought that he was being stabbed where his wounds were by everybody he had harmed.

He was a lovely man.

He was jovial.

He was forward looking.

He had a life he couldn't look back.

And then this started to happen.

And again, he couldn't sleep, which makes it very hard to pass.
