So the other issue, though, is these toys cause obstructions.
So if you're not going to listen to me and your veterinarian and you're still going to give a yak chew or a bully stick, make sure it's not small enough to be swallowed.
When it's, you know, the size of, if you've got a big dog, if it's smaller than your fist, you got to throw it out because they can swallow a pretty big piece.
And a gastrointestinal obstruction is going to run you about five grand at the emergency hospital.
The other thing they talked about were rawhides.
A lot of people think rawhide chews are like beef or meat, but they're not.
They're hide.
They're leather.
That ain't jerky.
It's not jerky.
It is not beef jerky.
It is just rawhide.
It is the strip of leather, the strip of skin from the cow, from the beef and the steer and
and then they treat it with a bunch of chemicals to keep it sort of that hard consistency the animal swallows a piece and those chemicals prevent it from being digested and all what that happens is this rawhide piece swells up to about four times its size in the stomach of your dog or in the intestinal tract and again obstructions uh obstructions occur
