I did not know this until your producer sent me this article.
I've been a veterinarian, a real veterinarian for 28 years.
So I'm learning something here.
That's right.
Well, it's like that with really anything.
Trust me.
So there's this professor Masayo Miyazaki in the Iwata University in Japan.
And this is actually a really interesting study.
He basically, everyone thought, oh, cats stop eating when they're full, which of course is not true because they get fat.
So they eat more than they need to.
But he wanted to know what stopped them from eating.
And he proposed that it was the odor that they were getting used to and bored with the scent of their food.
So he basically did a study where he fed cats, a bunch of cats in eggs,
Six different meals, 10 minutes apart with a 10 minute break.
And as more and more meals came out, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, they started eating less and less.
And then what he did was he did the same thing, but it was a different meal with a different odor and they ate substantially more.
Then he took the cats and he fed them meal one, two, three, four, five with the 10 minute break in between.
And the sixth one was a new meal.
And all of a sudden they started eating again.
Then he took it where he wanted to say, well, is it the flavor or is it the odor?
