Hi folks, thanks for having me.
How
Uh, absolutely.
I mean I
I really came to stoicism through medicine.
And when you work in medicine, you are exposed to this really raw, very vulnerable part of humanity, right?
You're with people as they suffer, you're with them as they survive, and sometimes you're with them as they die.
And there are days when you and your team, you give
You just give everything you possibly have and it's still not enough.
Right.
And somebody dies.
And you go home from that and you realize your limitations, how small you are, that there are these obstacles, that there is no way around.
And what do you do with that?
Right.
Yeah.
So you have to find some method of
a a how and a why to come back tomorrow and to try harder and to do better.
And so as I was wrestling with that, I really found the stoic principles to be incredibly helpful about making meaning out of that.
Right.
So this idea of operate where you have control or play the hand of cards you're dealt, you know, to find a way to help that lean into as opposed to away from that raw, messy humanity.
