No, it's like, no.
And I wrote a book many years ago called Preventing Alzheimer's and got no end of grief from it.
Published it the year Reagan died.
And they're like, you can't do that.
That's a false promise.
And last year in the Lancet, their review article came out and said 50% of Alzheimer's disease is preventable.
And I'm like, I'm so excited.
It's like, yes, but in order to do that, you have to love your brain and take care of it.
So I have an acronym I like called Bright Minds.
You want to keep your brain healthy or rescue it.
You have to prevent or treat the 11 major risk factors.
And just quickly, B is for blood flow.
Low blood flow is the number one brain imaging predictor of Alzheimer's disease.
So what lowers blood flow?
Hypertension, being sedentary, alcohol, marijuana, nicotine.
Much caffeine, right?
A little bit is fine.
Much, not a good idea.
R is retirement and aging.
The older you get, the more serious you need to be.
