And she's basically given up hope, but not entirely.

She has faith that Odysseus lives.

And so she's been trying to hold off these 108 bastards for the best part of a decade by various tricks.

Her main trick was said, okay, I will marry one of you when I've finished this burial shroud I'm weaving.

And once that's finished, promise I'll marry one of you.

So she spends her day weaving, but every night she unpicks it and removes that progress and delays indefinitely.
