When did that become a city?

I need to find this out.

I feel like it was like, yeah, like three years ago, so I know you went the year before, I think.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, they've been pushing for it for quite some time.

I remember even in school, there was a big petition for it back in little school, and it was like, oh, there's plans for it, and it got turned down.

I can't remember why, but I think it was because it had so much kind of industry going on in Doncaster, there'd been the local government council kind of pushing for it, and eventually it managed to get city-stated.

Tourism?

Yeah, I think it's more tourism and it opens up a bit more doors to funding.

I mean, I could be talking total shit, of course, I'm not sure, but I believe that's the thing, is that it opens up a bit more doors in terms of, yeah, funding, other opportunities, and then it's kind of, yeah, tourism.

So it's like, hey, we're a city, you know, come and see what we've got.

But yeah, it was interesting growing up.

I mean, I'll be honest, it was difficult.

Like, I come from an area in Doncaster which is called Balby, and Balby...

was definitely one of the most deprived areas, socioeconomically deprived areas.

And I wasn't brought up with money.

For most of my life, it was like a one-parent household.

My mom, bless her, she was wonderful and supportive as a teenager.
