It's like chat up lines.
It goes like, it's your favorite dinosaur.
Yeah, that sort of thing.
But yeah, I just, yeah, just loved it all.
And then it just kind of, yeah, got kind of picked up in terms of TV stuff.
And even one of the coolest memories I had was within recent time, a few years ago, I introduced one of the documentaries that I was an exec producer and the leading paleontologist.
for a doc we it was called why dinosaurs which followed this father and son duo in america kind of basically like hey my son wants to be a paleontologist how do you get into it and it's like a six year long thing i introduced that in the heart of hollywood on sunset boulevard on the same bloody stage that uh leonardo dicaprio and martin scorsese was on like the other night or a week before i was like
pinch myself kind of thing.
That from Doncaster doing that was pretty wild.
Absolutely not.
No, and that's it.
No matter how much you might try, you really can't.
And you've got to really make a, you know, basically carve out your own career.
And as you kind of touched upon, like my career is really unconventional.
You know, I failed in school, failed science, never did an undergraduate degree.
I'd written a bunch of academic papers, worked my ass off, and then did a master's, then my PhD.
And then now I have students, work with students.
I lead digs around the world and write books and TV stuff.
But it is, it's bloody hard work.
And it's just like, I always say, it's that passion, perseverance, and just keeping at it.
