How do we engage with it?

And we do need to solve some very serious problems of parasite protection.

diseases, for example.

And the only way we will do that is actually by better science, science that's much more collaborative, that's much more global.

Because for parasites, there are only bodies.

There are no borders.

And the fact is, no matter where you are, who you are, how privileged you think you might be, how safe you might be, you think, wherever you're living in a city or somewhere removed from nature, you know what?

You will never escape from a parasite.

They are coming to get you.

And so you better learn about them.

I don't know if I do, but basically my secret is, I think, twofold.

One is just to be curious, just to be open-minded and to go out there and kind of be open to the unexpected.

The other part of it is actually, you know, I'm very lucky to have animals as teachers as well.

And so understanding that on every body, on every branch, on every single person, there is another organism.

And

we might not sometimes want to think about it.

It's like quite horrifying and disgusting, but if we don't, if we don't, we might miss out on some really cool stuff that's happening.

It's just like, you'd never know what you're going to find out there.

And the remarkable thing is what, imagine the most horrific, bizarre sci-fi scene you've ever, ever seen in a movie.
