Well, they've gone to the GP already or they've gone to the obstetrician and they have a loose label of depression or you're anxious or you're stressed.
Go talk to someone.
So they feel that, but that is the result of what's happening.
And if you're doing all of this and the world around you is not seeing that or making adjustments or allowances for that, you start becoming stressed and start becoming depressed and you start feeling a bit scared because you're in this ambivalent hole of like you've never been here.
It just feels unsafe.
It feels scary.
Hence depression.
Hence anxiety.
Totally.
So you know how I said the surface of the brain is changing, like it's shrinking?
So then the study also looked at the deeper structures.
And the amygdala, the threat center, the alarm system of the brain, and its homies, it's got a little crew.
It's not rolling around on its own.
It's got a crew.
The amygdala changes, so the threat center is there to scan threats for baby, to see that there's something the baby can swallow there.
There is a threat.
Everything.
