They're like the rock stars of the medieval period.
And it's kind of like how we treat like astrophysicists now.
You know how like everybody knows who Neil deGrasse Tyson is, you know, stuff like that, where we're like, wow, big, big, cool ideas.
That's what theologians are like.
So 12th century Renaissance.
Oh, nice.
You know, so here we are.
And this is where we have the second university ever founded.
So the first university in Europe is founded in Bologna as a result of students kind of banding together and they're saying we want a university.
Second one is founded in Paris as a result of the church who's like, oh, yeah, we want one to like we want one that we have a little bit more control over.
And so a university then doesn't look like a university now in that it's more of a concept.
Right.
It's like you have a bunch of teachers there and you work in different churches.
And key to this is that everyone who is attending university or who teaches in a university is a cleric.
You have to be a member of the church.
Yeah.
So in order to do this, you can't just be like a guy off the street.
You have to be like a member of the order.
