They start the semester.
I really want to do well this semester.
And so it's that initiation is that decision that I'm going to get started on this task.
But it also includes the ability to get started on this task.
And so that's an important component.
And a lot of kids with executive function have trouble initiating or getting started on tasks.
So they want to succeed.
They don't know how.
They don't know how to get started.
And so if that's an issue for your child, that's a key.
If we haven't fixed that.
You're gonna have a child who's in that constant circle of being unmotivated because it's like I was motivated to do it, but I didn't have the tools in order to get started on it.
So therefore, motivation isn't something that I can even tap into.
And then we have persistence, which is that effort that we put toward continuing to stick with it.
So it's sort of like, all right, I got started on the history paper that I really love history.
You know, you've got kids who even struggle in certain aspects of academics, but love the subject.
All right, you help them get started, but they don't know how to try.
And you you mentioned resiliency and all of that colors this, but resilience.
Is something we learn.
We learn how to be resilient because it's like we reached a challenge and we were able to get over it.
