Yeah, I think this is absolutely a crucial part of resilience, really, and how we get through really difficult times because our minds are like these meaning-making machines that are giving us constant commentary on our performance and
And, you know, some of us may have, for example, a louder critic and it might be critical about particular things, for example.
And there will have been, as always, some kind of learning history or childhood experiences that have told you, you know, certain things that you want to believe to be true.
So absolutely, I want to acknowledge that our minds have a big piece to play in the pursuit of achievement.
And what's interesting about the research is that consistency matters more so than intensity.
If we look at the greats, they may have practiced every day, but they weren't necessarily giving 10 out of 10 for every practice.

What's one small thing I can do?
How do I break it down to even smaller, really achievable goals and

And so hope is a fundamental part of being gritty.
And hope is actually kind of in this context different to what we might often believe it to be.
Hope in this instance is really the belief in my ability to create change.
So the belief that I can grow, that I can pursue this, that I have agency.
And often I think those internal beliefs can really get in the way of cultivating a belief that I can do something.
