And I think what I want to mention when it comes to practice is that we actually need to practice in a very particular way to cultivate more excellence.
And you may all be familiar with the 10,000-hour rule.
No, it's Anders Ericsson.
And it's kind of become popularized as this thing of like, well, if you do 10,000 hours of this thing, then you're going to be a master of it.
You're going to be excellent at it.
But what he really identified is that we need to practice in a very particular way for 10,000 hours to be really effective, right?
And so the first thing is that the practice has to be deliberate, right?
It has to have a goal in mind.
So let's just say I'm planning on, maybe I'm running.
That's my practice is I'm running every day.
Maybe I'm training for a marathon.
Like that's the long-term goal.
How am I creating goals to meet that larger goal?
We have to have a goal in mind with the practice.
So that's the direction.
Or I want to know how to draw a face in a particular way.
That's the first thing.
