This is definitely happening there.
And I always like to say that lots of urologic care is gender-affirming care, even if it's not for gender-diverse persons.
giving someone a PNL prosthesis because they have erectile dysfunction is gender affirming care.
But specifically things like things for gender diverse persons can definitely be done by a general urologist.
Your general urologist can do orchiectomies for trans women who are interested in that as either a starting point for their surgical care or even a
final surgery for themselves.
They may not be interested in a vaginoplasty or a fovoplasty going forward.
A lot of general urologists also offer testosterone therapy to their cisgendered patients, and that's certainly something that you can offer to transgender patients as well.

I think there are a couple versions that are being used right now.
Standards of care eight is the most recent and it is the most
flexible of the guidelines because it's targeted at a global audience with different legal barriers that may be in place.
Standards of care seven was a little bit more rigid.
And so it's often used by insurance companies when you're looking for the proper documentation for insurance coverage of these procedures.
So I think that's an important thing to consider.
