They they take the cities that are on the coast, they loot the countryside, they march towards Carthage.
They are um, you know, the Carthaginians send out an another army to
um to meet them and they get defeated.
They're, you know, it's it's looking really bad for the Carthaginians.
It's always incredible to think about how that's possible to raise and continue to raise all the soldiers that we have.
Well the Carthaginians just keep coming back as well.
Interesting.
This time they have they've, you know, been they're they're very desperate.
Things are really desperate.
Um they always talk about
Um Didor Siculus tells us about the fact that the Carthaginians drape their
walls of their city in black when they've lost a sea battle.
So after Echnomis, of course, the city of Carthage would have been draped in black and
I I mean all the families who are involved in in sea battles um would have been affected.
And they've done a terrible job defending the countryside.
We have evidence that um this city on the northwest coast of Tunisia called Kercowan that gets destroyed in this period.
So it's a really destructive invasion.
But they regroup and they send an expedition off to the eastern Mediterranean to recruit.
Uh a new army.
all over Greece, Phoenicia, from they they recruit soldiers, we think, from um the Iberians, the Ligurians, uh lots of Greeks, uh in them in all of Asia Minor.
