But the irony, I looked to see who got the lead, Rosalind, and there was my name.

And I walked into the acting professor who was the director of this, and I said, all right, dude, you gotta explain this to me.

Why would you choose me?

I had some serious bullying issues over how I looked.

And he sat me down, he said, you're my ideal, Rosalind.

Here's the crazy thing about Professor David Richmond, the guy looking at me, he was 100% legally blind.

He was a blind Shakespearean director.

He couldn't see everything that everyone else always saw.

And on that belief, the show was a hit.

I was really successful in this.

I called my parents and said, guys, I love you.

And I'm going to New York to be an actress.

Silence.

And I said, they said, we can't afford to help you.

And I said, that's okay, I got this.
