Yeah.
So I love that you're talking about the relationship between estrogen and serotonin because there is one.
Yeah.
Not a lot of people know.
Yes, because all of those chemicals that you were talking about, neurotransmitters and hormones, are what is connected to the neurobiology of PTSD and dissociation.
Yes.
Glutamate, serotonin, oxytocin, all of what you talked about are what is dysregulated in PTSD also.
You're dysregulated and then you've got a buffer with your estrogen and your serotonin if you're on an SSRI, premenopausally.
Right.
But when you start going through the transition
What ends up happening is you lose your buffer and you lose uh everything else, but that's also what is that r like shows your PTSD more raw.
Because all of those chemicals are dysregulated in PTSD.
So yes, your trauma is gonna bubble up.
during those times.
So that is an opportunity.
Not only to not only to look at relationships and connection and joy, but to look at the trauma right that is was underlying that is now physiologically showing up.
Because it was unresolved.
So does serotonin, which is calming.
Estrogen goes away, serotonin goes away, and then you're left with the neurobiology of PTSD.
So fascinating.
