So then, of course, they have a fear and they teach that fear to children.
And so then what happens?

Now, when it comes to black children between the ages of five and nine, they are 2.6 times more likely to die from drowning compared to white children.
Black children between the ages of 10 to 14 are 3.6 times more likely to die from drowning when compared to white children.
But, you know, when economy, hello economy, if you don't have a pool in your backyard or a lovely gated community with a pool, how are you going to learn how to swim?
If your mama can't drive you or take off work to drive you to swimming lessons, how are you going to learn?
If you can't afford swimming lessons, if you can't afford
to you know buy the towel or if your mama presses your hair and says she doesn't want your hair to revert to afro and she teaches you not to get in the water it goes so so so it's just deeper and deeper and deeper but bottom line not only do children need to learn how to swim the adults need to face the fear and take lessons the adults need to face fear because adults who can't swim have children who can't swim and it's taking lives you know right now summertime cookout time yeah
